There are two steps to finding out more about the Lap-BandŽ Solution.

Step 1) Come to a Patient Information Evening

The surgeons from the Centre for Bariatric Surgery (CBS) conduct these nearly every week. Click here to see the schedule of seminars for this year. .

Please contact CBS on (03) 9520 9520 to book your place at a Patient Information Evening. You are most welcome to bring along a family member or friend.

At the Patient Information Evening we will discuss the Lap-Band®, the procedure and the positive and negative aspects of this procedure. We provide information as honestly as possible, so that you can make a fully informed decision. Some of our current patients attend to share their thoughts and experiences with you. We also have one of our Patient Care Facilitators there to tell you about what happens in hospital and for the first few weeks afterwards.

Step 2) Make an appointment to see one of the surgeons at CBS

You can make an appointment by contacting CBS on (03) 9520 9520 or you can book your appointment at the Patient Information Evening.

You must attend one of the Patient Information Evenings before you can see a surgeon.

Your surgeon is the key to a safe and successful outcome. At your appointment the surgeon will explain the process from there. Typically, after a clinical review and discussion, a decision to proceed is made at that initial consultation, further assessments are organised and a date for the procedure is set. You are on your way to overcoming your obesity.
